The Problem

Without proper drainage, playground areas become an area for standing water, saturating wood chips and creating mud holes. These conditions limit play time and can create uneven surface areas that can result in injuries or create the need for repairs.

The Solution

Prefabricated drains are designed to collect and re-direct water, allowing the area to dry quickly and efficiently. The result is a more stable surface area, reduced expense for repair materials and more play time. 

SITEDRAIN 90 sheet drain provides a moderate strength and flow capacity and is designed to provide drainage for large surface areas. For playground applications the core side is placed on the existing soil with the filter fabric facing up.  Wood chips can be placed directly on top of the geotextile. The filter fabric retains the wood chip particles while allowing water to freely enter the drainage core.

SITEDRAIN 6000 Strip drain is installed around of the perimeter of the playground area and functions as a collection system for the sheet drain. Designed to replace perforated pipe and stone, strip drains provide a high flow core that transports water to designated areas.
